Calling All Runners – Wicked Half Marathon!

So you’ve probably figured out by now that Winter Street loves a good marathon!  Being avid runners and community advocates, we also appreciate an opportunity to help a good cause.

If you are interested in using your running to help at-risk youth, consider registering for the Tache Real Estate Wicked ½ Marathon in Salem and paying an additional $10 fee to benefit Plummer Home for Boys in Salem. Plummer Home is a group home for adolescent boys who are victims of abuse or neglect and/or who have difficulty managing their behaviors. In addition to providing a home and counseling, Plummer Home provides a range of innovative services designed to help its residents grow into healthy adults.

Through the ½ Marathon, B&S Fitness and Ernst & Young are helping raise funds for Plummer Home for Boys. By paying an additional $10 you can register as a Plummer Runner and B&S will pass the entire $10 on to Plummer Home. BONUS: Ernst & Young will double your money by giving a matching $10 for up to 200 runners!!

Wicked Half Marathon Route

The Other Perk? Our TOP 3 Plummer Home runners will win an award (your race entry back minus your donation and some cool swag!). You are also eligible to win the age group award. If you are the top winner in your age group and a Plummer Home winner, B&S Fitness will make sure you walk away with some good hardware! Appropriately enough, last year a resident of the Plummer Home placed first in his age group!

Thank you very much for considering being a Plummer Runner, and watch out for Winter Street Team Members running with you!
